Students explore the constant battle between pathogens and the immune system, focusing particularly on the different ways that pathogens adapt to overcome the immune system.
In a hands-on activity, students simulate an attack on the immune system. The lesson concludes with a small group activity in which students research a pathogen to determine how it adapts and prepare a class presentation.
