Explore.org: Dumpling Mountain (Katmai National Park)

The Katmai wilderness opens before you through this mountaintop cam.

Located on the alpine tundra near the summit of Dumpling Mountain–at an elevation of 2,440 feet or 744 meters–you can see all of Brooks River and much of the surrounding landscape of Alaska’s Katmai National Park and Preserve. Large, pristine lakes and thick spruce forests fill the lowlands while active volcanoes bordering the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes steam on the horizon.
