McDowell Sonoran Conservancy: Lifecycle and Oddities of the Saguaro Ride at Pima Dynamite Trailhead

Join us on this ride to see some of the magnificent saguaros only found in the Sonoran Desert.

We will have a guest presenter who will discuss the lifecycle of the giant multiarmed saguaros and view many including skeletons and a crested saguaro located near the trailhead. This is a moderate beginner+ and moderate cardio ride with numerous stops.

Location: Pima Dynamite Trailhead – 28777 North Pima Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85262

Skill Level: Moderate

Distance: ~12 miles

Time: ~3 hours

A bike with wide knobby tires is required. Please, no road bikes, hybrids, folding bikes, or electric assist bikes. Please check the working order of your bike before you leave home. Helmets required. Bring water and snacks. Restrooms at the trailhead. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before the start of the ride.
