Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Quiet Hour

September 5, 2024 @ 5:45 pm - 6:45 pm

Free with Park Fee
Feel inner peace outside in this guided 4-step process led by Ranger Jacque.

Would you like a break from noise and stress and a new way to enjoy nature? The Quiet Hour process can help. It blends nine techniques or influences that research indicates have a calming or uplifting effect. This seated program is for all abilities, ages 12 and up. Restrooms are available at the Nature Center, but not at the Viewing Pond where we will meet. To get there, take the second left after entering the park ($7/vehicle entry or display Maricopa County Parks Annual Pass). For maximum comfort, wear comfortable clothing and shoes, bring water, and a yoga mat or towel to sit on. No pets.

MEETING LOCATION: Viewing Pond, 2nd left upon passing kiosk at entry Limit 6 participants.

To register, please call the Nature Center at 602-506-2930 ext. 4 with your name, phone number, and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 9/3/24.

Please note: Summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events. The MC Parks website is the best resource for verifying the program’s current status, so please check the program listing prior to departing for your scheduled program.
