Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Guided Hike – Plants, Rocks and Views
Join ranger Nikki on an easy-to-difficult 6-mile hike to learn about desert plants and geology and enjoy amazing views.
This hike ranges from easy, flat terrain to moderate rocky ground to a difficult climb up Lousley Hill. The route will include portions of Pemberton and Escondido Trails, loop via Lousley Hill Trail and return the same way. Four-hour duration allows for discussion and breaks to rest, hydrate and snack. Meet at the Trailhead Staging Area to start Pemberton on the north side.
Limit 20 participants. Registration required by calling the McDowell Nature Center at 602-506-2930 x3 with your name, phone number and number attending. Registration deadline: Tuesday, February 7.
