Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Explore the Old Clay Mine!

Join Ranger Kevin for a hike to the Old Clay Mine!

Along the way, we’ll talk about the plants and animals that we see. Inside the mine we’ll talk about its colorful history. The trails are considered easy/moderate in difficulty and elevation, and may be rocky and uneven. Sturdy footwear is strongly advised. Be sure to bring plenty of water. NO pets, please. We’ll meet at the Nature Center; restrooms are available. Please note that this program is subject to cancellation without notice for safety reasons.

Advance registration is required, and group size is limited to 20 participants. To register, email Ranger Kevin: kevin.thorson@maricopa.gov.  Please provide your name, number in your party, and a phone number in your email.
