Lowell Observatory: ORBITS CURIOSITY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CAMP – The Milky Way

Discover the mysteries of the cosmos through hands-on science experiments and STEAM-based projects.

Campers in grades 3 & 4 will start with a tour of our amazing galaxy – the Milky Way – covering things like star birth and death (including the formation of black holes). Campers will learn about the other galaxies in our Universe throughout the remainder of the camp and go home with a beautiful model galaxy of their design. Other activities will include hiking, drawing, playing games, and more.

These activity-based, week-long day camps meet Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm, with graduation and family activities on Friday evening (circumstances pending.) We enroll campers based on the grade they will enter in the Fall. For example, if your child attends 2nd grade this fall, they should be enrolled in the 1st/2nd camp.
