Pinal County Library District: Suicide Prevention Basics
October 24 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Free
Given the rising need for mental health supports among youth and adults, we believe awareness can make a critical difference-not only by equipping families and communities to look out for themselves and each other, but also by empowering people to recognize risk and intervene early with their loved ones and acquaintances.
Join us for a half-hour presentation outlining potential risk factors, warning signals for someone contemplating suicide, facts and resources, and how you can help.
Presented by La Frontera EMPACT, which is dedicated to creating a supportive, stigma-free environment in which youth and families can access education, resources, and caring prevention staff. With suicide prevention education in place, they aim to build a county-wide network of support, with an early warning system staffed by trained adults and informed youth.
