Lowell Institute for Mineral Resources: Minerals and Electronics
From clocks, to microwaves, to smartphones, most of us use electronics every day.
It takes many different mineral resources to make an electronic device. From copper used in wires to carry electricity to gold used to keep electrical contacts corrosion free. The different properties of mineral resources make them useful for different tasks. Today we will explore the metal that holds it all together.
Minerals Make It is a video series where 3rd through 7th graders can explore how we use minerals in our daily lives and where we get those mineral from.
