Yavapai County Free Library District: From Plant to Plate with the Master Gardeners of Yavapai County

New to gardening? Struggling with your existing garden? The Master Gardener’s of Yavapai County Cooperative Extension have it ALL covered! In this six-part series they will cover all the basics from soil health, composting, crop rotation, weeding, dealing with pests – before you know it, you’ll be eating the fruits of your labor!

Week Five & Six on December 11th  – Continued caring for your growing garden! Weeding, using integrated pest management, and identifying common pests. Harvesting and using your bounty! Gardening for your health, harvest, storage, nutrition, and cooking from your garden

 

Who ARE the Master Gardeners?

Master Gardeners are volunteers who are trained by the University of Arizona to support the county Horticulture Agent, by providing science-based horticulture information to the public. Master Gardeners are volunteers of the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension.

What does all that mean? They know their stuff and they are ready to teach us all how to become masters in our own gardens too!
