National Park Service: Ranger-led Hike – Ranger Cabin
In response to rampant looting, and the destruction of Walnut Canyon's cliff dwellings, a United States Forest (USFS) ranger was assigned to Walnut Canyon to preserve the park's resources. Beginning in 1904, the assigned ranger lived in what is today known as Ranger Cabin, which is one of the oldest USFS cabins in the country....
