Rio Salado Audubon Center: Birding 101
Learn how to identify common birds and tips for better birding!
Learn how to identify the common birds found around Phoenix during this introductory program. Participants will learn basic field ID techniques, some fun facts about our local species, as well as what you can do to help birds in your backyard. You will also get a chance to learn how to use binoculars and practice your newfound skills at the feeders around the Center.
Details:
- Everyone is welcome, whether this is your first foray into birding, or you just need a refresher to the common backyard birds.
- This program is free, but donations are welcome to support education and conservation programs at the Audubon Center.
- This program is primarily indoors, with a more lecture based approach. Hands-on components will be incorporated as well.
- The Center is ADA accessible to wheelchairs, including our bird feeding station on the patio.
