Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Saguaro Saunter

Join Ranger Jacque for a guided hike to learn about the ecology of the Sonoran Desert, and of course, about the saguaros! You may have seen saguaros before, but have you ever marveled at the mighty Michelin Man, or cast any thought to the Three Amigos? These extraordinary saguaros are unusual and awesome, and we can walk to see them within 1.5 miles! Please wear protective clothing and/or sunscreen, wear sturdy footwear, and carry ample water. Restrooms are available at the Slate Trailhead parking.

MEETING LOCATION: Slate Trailhead, which is off the loop road near the end of the main park road.

Limit 15 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at 602-506-2930 ext. 8 with your name, phone number, and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 1/7/25.
