Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Fitness Hike

Enjoy views of cacti, birds, mountain ridges and more while getting a cardio boost on this fitness hike with Ranger Nikki. The route uses Toothaker and Coldwater Trails to make a loop that is just over 7 miles long. The terrain varies from mostly level ground to uneven with small to medium rocks underfoot. Toothaker has a total elevation change of 344 feet throughout. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring snacks (salty and sweet) and plenty of water (recommended 3 liters plus a source of electrolytes).

For those of you participating in the annual Maricopa County Parks 100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge, this is a great way to earn miles towards your goal!
