Join us to explore Kinusaiga, a traditional Japanese craft that uses fabric to create no-sew artwork. We will use foam boards and fabric scraps to create unique mosaic-like art pieces. All materials will be provided but do feel free to bring your own fabric scraps if there are specific fabrics you would like to use....
You will learn the process of making a small sculpture/montage from bits of nature and trinkets, honoring the shapes and colors of our bountiful Sonoran Desert. Collect dried seed pods, twigs, stalks, and flowers beforehand. Other supplies will be provided. No skills necessary.
