The University of Arizona: Starting, Sustaining, & Improving Effective Group Work Grades 6-8 (IMPACTS-MS)

Group work is essential for promoting collaboration, discussion, and argumentation in the mathematics classroom. But how do we provide opportunities for students to learn to work cooperatively while addressing issues of participation, status, and equity? Join us as we explore how to build a powerful mathematics culture using strategic moves to encourage productive struggle.

Presenters: Kristin Connelly, Jennifer Dwosh, Rodrigo Gutiérrez, and Dr. Jennifer Wolfe

Location: Hybrid: In-person at UArizona Tucson Campus. Remote via Zoom. Satellite location in Yuma.

Earn: Up to 6 hours of professional development credit for recertification.
