Phoenix Herpetological Sanctuary: Advanced Paws and Claws

Are you interested in learning about how mammals and reptiles work together in different ecosystems? This is the camp for you! This camp has an exciting mix of both mammal and reptile knowledge!

Are you interested in learning about different ecosystems and the mammals and reptiles in them? What kinds of relationships they have together in those ecosystems? Camp Paws and Claws help you deep dive into the different ambassador mammals we have at the sanctuary and the reptiles we have here too!

Camp Paws and Claws will use a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math) oriented curriculum to do activities like crafts, games, animal interactions, and more! Your child’s safety is of the utmost importance to us, which is why we only handle proven education animals and our counselors have received advanced training on all of these animals. if you love reptiles as much as we do, you will love this camp!

Ages: Advanced, Ages 12 – 14

Price: $375 per week, July 6th – July 10th

Your registration for a week-long camp will include:

  • 1 Camp T-shirt with camper name, per week
  • Photos from camp. Emailed 1-2 weeks after the camp has ended in a Google Drive Folder
  • Camp Gift per week (keychain, folder, notebook, etc)
  • 2 snacks per day (1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon) & water

Interactions: YES with nonvenomous reptiles and some of our ambassador mammals, this is an essential part of our camp!
