National Park Service: Full Moon Hike
June 22, 2024 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Free with Park Fee
Come explore Pipe Spring by moonlight on our first full moon hike of the year!
We’ll explore our connections with the moon, the stars, and the earth beneath our feet while gently traversing the 1/2 mile Ridge Trail. The Ridge Trail has approximately 270 feet of elevation gain and is rocky and unpaved. Certain sections are narrow with moderate drop-offs. Reservations are required. To reserve, email e-mail us or call 928-643-7105.
Due to the nature of this special activity all participants must agree to the following rules:
- All participants must be 8 or older. Children 7 and under are not permitted.
- Hiking boots or hiking shoes (lug soles) in good condition are required for your safety and the safety of park staff and other participant(s).
- We will be hiking under the light of the full moon. To protect our night vision, red light flashlights and headlamps are permitted as necessary. Flash photography may be permitted under key restrictions. White light headlamps and flashlights are not permitted during the hike. Please let a ranger know if you will need to borrow a red light during the hike.
- Bring drinking water and a jacket – night time temperatures can be cool.
- Due to steep and rocky trails this activity is not wheelchair accessible.
