National Park Service: Astronomy Night – Full Moon Rise Over Grand Canyon – Telescope Viewing

June 21, 2024 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Free with Park Fee

Watch the Sun set in the west at 7:49 pm, then turn to the east and watch the Full Moon rise over the Canyon at 8:09 pm! Rangers will be out at Mather Point with telescopes to point at the Moon and other early evening objects.

Time: 7:30 pm (allow 1 hour)

Location: South Rim – Park in one of the Visitor Center parking lots. It is a 5 to 10 minute walk along a paved path to Mather Point.
