Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Saguaros in Sunset
May 8, 2025 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Free with Park Fee
Ranger Olivia leads this picturesque hike to watch the sun set while also learning about saguaros along the way. We will see the sunset, saguaros, saguaro blossoms, and maybe some evening critters as well. You may bring your blacklight and regular flashlight to look for evening critters (optional). This hike begins on Gila trail where we will connect onto Baseline trail to create a loop of about 3 miles. The terrain is rated easy to moderate and ranges from even and smooth to uneven with small to medium rocks underfoot. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms and water are NOT available at the trailhead so stop by the Nature Center water fountain as you drive in.
