Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: National Clean-Up Day Hike

September 16, 2023 @ 7:00 am - 10:00 am

Free with Park Fee

Join Ranger Kevin for an approximately 2.5-mile around the Nature Center, as well as the Mule Deer and Bajada trails. Trails are rated easy, with little loose rock, uneven terrain or elevation change. We will be observing National Clean-Up Day by safely removing litter near the trail. Of course, we’ll also be on the lookout for a variety of wildlife along the way! This is a great, family-friendly way to connect with nature while doing good in your community! Please wear sturdy closed-toe shoes, bring plenty of water, gloves, and a trash grabber if you have one; a small number of them may be available to borrow. Hats and sunscreen are also highly recommended. Trash bags will be provided. Restrooms are available near the trailhead. No pets, please.

MEETING LOCATION: Nature Center patio.

Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 4 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list.   Registration for this program will close on 9/14.
