Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Morning Fitness Hike

 Join Ranger Derik on a Morning fitness hike up into the White tank Mountains and see breathtaking views of the Phoenix Valley.  

The hike will cover a total of 4.3 miles as an out and back along the Goat Camp Trail. The trail Is rated as difficult and features steep inclines over rocky loose trail and gains 1000 ft of elevation. Hikers are encouraged to take 3 or more liters of water and come pre hydrated. Make sure to have an extra bottle of water in your car for the end of the hike. Water and restrooms can be found at the White Tank Library. There is a water spigot at the Goat camp trailhead as well. 

MEETING LOCATION: Goat Camp Trailhead on Black Canyon Rd second left after the entry station.

 

Limit <20> participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. <5> with your name, phone number and number of people attending.

If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list.   Registration for this program will close on <9/27/24>.

Please note: Summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events. The Maricopa County Parks website is the best resource for verifying the program’s current status, so please check the program listing prior to departing for your scheduled program.
