Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Desert Edible Plants Hike

We will hike 3 miles along the Yavapai Point Trail and stop periodically to look for plants, animals and take in the landscapes found in the Sonoran Desert. The trail is rated as moderate with gradual elevation gain in sometimes rocky trail. We will be starting early in the morning, but it is encouraged that you bring sunscreen, protective clothing including close toed shoes and plenty of water.

Limit of 20 participants. To register, please email Ranger Derik at Derik.Rodgers@maricopa.gov with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please email back ASAP so those on the waiting list may be contacted. Registration for this program will close on 9/13/23.
