Embry – Riddle Aeronautical University: Forensic Science Summer Camp

Who: High School Students ages 14-18

When:

Session 3 July 12, 2026 – July 17, 2026

Where: Prescott, Arizona

Tuition: $1700

Gear up for an unforgettable adventure as you take part in a thrilling, hands-on journey through the world of criminal investigation. Guided by Embry-Riddle professors and forensic experts, you’ll experience every phase of solving a complex simulated crime. The sessions focus on a specialized area of forensics, blending scientific discovery, critical thinking, and investigative skill. Each session can be taken individually, but together they form an immersive three-week arc. You’ll walk away with not only a deeper understanding of forensic science but also the teamwork, analytical, and critical-thinking skills of a real investigator.

Session 3: Police Forensics – The Investigation in Action

Work through mock investigations and realistic case studies to understand how forensic evidence shapes police work. Learn the art of interviewing witnesses and suspects, build psychological profiles, and explore the digital side of forensics, including recovering deleted data and analyzing cyber evidence.
You’ll also examine the ethical and legal dimensions of forensics, understanding the balance between science, justice, and personal rights. The session culminates in a collaborative team challenge, where students act as detectives, lab analysts, and legal experts to bring their case to trial.
