Desert Foothills Land Trust: Sonoran Speaker Series – Medicine or Madness?

Modern medical science has made incredible strides, from organ transplants to gene therapy. Yet some researchers are turning to the very compounds that evolved to harm us to develop new medical interventions. Led by Dr. Ken Sweat of ASU, we explore the uses of venom from different creatures to treat and cure various conditions and sicknesses found in humans.
