Healthy food choices can play an important role in preventing and managing high blood pressure. In this 90-minute program, we will explore how whole, nutrient-dense foods and healthy lifestyle habits can support heart health.
Using ConnectWell’s science-based Health & Wellness Database, participants will:
* Learn about high blood pressure and its health risks.
* Explore lifestyle and nutrition habits that support healthy blood pressure.
* Practice reading food labels and identifying lower-sodium options.
* Learn how to select and prepare heart-healthy recipes.
* Watch demonstrations of two delicious, low-sodium recipes and enjoy samples.
This program will be taught by Debe and Jill, Sunset Librarians.
