Chandler Public Library: Beginners Guide to AI – Myths, Do’s & Don’ts

Whether you’ve already explored or you have resisted, join us for an overview of AI (Artificial Intelligence), along with its benefits and drawbacks for everyday life and work. This introductory presentation will also cover AI prompts to ask better questions, steps to protect privacy, and the 3 major AI types, tools and platforms.

Presented by Miguel Fernandez, Composition and Research faculty member at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. He is a member of the Maricopa County Community College District AI Taskforce, the International Association of AI Architects (IAAA), and a 2024 DFRLab Digital Sherlock. He is co-author of Achieving Knowledge Advantage through OSINT and was awarded a 2025 Horizon Grant to develop educational videos on the effective use of AI tools.
