Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Stargazing

Join Ranger Kevin for an evening of summer stargazing!
Clear skies permitting, we’ll be viewing a selection of objects through a portable telescope. Possibilities include planets, galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters! We’ll also identify some major constellations with a laser pointer, and hear the stories behind them. Bring your sky-related questions! Family friendly program. Restrooms are available nearby, but please bring plenty of water. NO pets, please.
Please note: Summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events. The Maricopa County Parks website is the best resource for verifying the program’s current status, so please check the program listing prior to departing for your scheduled program.
MEETING LOCATION: Area 7, Group Picnic Ramadas
Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at 602-506-2930 ext. 5 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 8/22.
