Yavapai County Free Library District: STEM CHALLENGE – Balloon-Powered Lunar Rovers

February 21, 2024 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Free

NASA plans to land astronauts on the moon. The astronauts will need moon cars—called rovers—to drive across the moon’s surface, carry supplies, help build their outpost, and explore the area. Develop engineering skills by learning how to build and test a balloon-powered rover! The balloon-powered lunar rover challenge is geared for children, ages 9-13. No registration required.

Prescott Public Library and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University have teamed up with NASA @ My Library to present school-age children with an opportunity to learn about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) with a hands-on activity and engineering design challenge.
