June STEAM Lab:Sweet Science of States of Matter!
Step into the world of chemistry this June and discover the three states of matter through tasty, hands-on experiments! In this interactive lab, participants will make their own ice cream and create fizzy root beer floats while observing how solids, liquids, and gases behave and change in real time. Kids will make predictions, explore temperature changes, and watch as ingredients transform right before their eyes.
Along the way, we’ll explore how molecules move in each state of matter and why these changes occur. It’s a deliciously fun way to experience science in action!
This STEAM Lab at the Prescott Valley Public Library, in partnership with Yavapai Exploration and Science, is designed for youth ages 5–12 and encourages curiosity, observation, and critical thinking—perfect for young scientists who love to experiment and explore.
