Tucson Audubon Society: The True Nature of the Climate Crisis

September 5, 2024 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free
Why has humanity failed for a generation to take meaningful action on climate change?  Join climate scientist Zach Brown to explore the barriers to climate action – and learn the real tools the climate movement is using to overcome these barriers and end the fossil fuel era.  Zach empowers climate concerned citizens to move beyond reusable shopping bags and make real change.
Zach Brown, PhD
Co-Executive Director, Tidelines Institute
Zach grew up in a National Park Service family, surrounded by the wilderness of Alaska – America’s fastest warming state.  He attended Stanford University for his PhD studies, and was incredibly privileged to undertake research expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic seas aboard icebreaking ships, studying how ocean warming sea ice loss affect the polar ecosystem.  Zach founded Tidelines Institute, an education and leadership nonprofit in his Alaskan homeland – where he gives students real tools for climate action.

Registrants will be emailed a Zoom link a couple of days prior to the event.

Registration for this event is free.
