Tucson Audubon Society: Santa Cruz River Clean-up with the Sonoran Institute

The Sonoran Institute will conduct a multi-site restoration and clean-up experience along the recovering urban reach of the Santa Cruz River.
Objective: Join us on the beautiful Santa Cruz River. We’re working to remove 2,000 lbs of garbage in 2 hours! We will have refreshments, foods, and friends!
Position Description: Volunteers will use pickers and gloves to remove trash from the river channel.
Requirements: Volunteers must be able to walk in sandy wash, bend down, and lift up to 30 lbs.
When: Saturday, December 14, 9 – 11 a.m.
