Trip difficulty: Easy to Moderate. Gradual elevation gain is less than 100 feet. 2 miles on moderately
loose wash sand. Restrooms and water available at trailhead. Limited shade and no benches. Trip
duration under 2.5 hours.

We will start from Oro Valley’s Honey Bee Canyon Park and will walk the wash to the north to just
beyond the site of the Hohokam Petroglyphs (at 1 mile) and look for some local specialties like the
Gilded Flicker and Black-throated Sparrow.

Driving directions: From Tangerine Rd. and Rancho Vistoso Blvd., go north for 3 miles. Park is on your
right, just after passing over the bridge. 20 parking spaces available.
