Town of Gilbert: Junior Ranger Camp

Come have fun exploring our parks with the Town of Gilbert Park Rangers!
Junior Ranger Cadets will learn exciting facts about nature, wildlife and history. Cadets will explore ways to protect our parks, playgrounds, and trails. Junior Rangers will leave empowered and prepared to navigate their environment utilizing the information they absorb throughout this program. Participants will receive a Junior Ranger Badge, mini flashlight, stickers, and more upon camp graduation!
Junior Ranger Camp Topics will include: archaeology, fishing, insects, AZ wildlife, playground safety, camping basics, weather/environment, and Park Rangers duties.
The schedule is as follows:
Monday will be at Freestone Park – meet at the Ramada next to the Train Depot (See map)
Tuesday will be at the Southeast Regional Library – Meet in the Shakespeare room
Wednesday will be at Freestone Park – meet at the Ramada next to the Train Depot
Thursday will meet at the Riparian Preserve
Friday will be at the Riparian Preserve – meet at Dragonfly Ramada (See map)
Most activities will take place outdoors. Please bring water, wear a hat, and comfortable shoes for walking. Apply sunscreen before arriving.
