Join Greg as he chats with Alyson Wade about the recovery efforts in Asheville after hurricane Helene.  Alyson and her team has been collaborating with farmers post-Hurricane Helene, addressing disaster preparedness for local food systems and effective soil remediation techniques for flooded, contaminated soils to enhance resilience and recovery.  Her non profit is fundraising and building systems to address the local farm impact.

Alyson Wade is the Founder of The Farm Connection, an edible, medicinal, and native plant nursery and garden center in Marshall, NC. She is also the homeschooling mother of 4 young children and earned 3 engineering degrees before starting her own company. She is passionate about supporting homesteaders, local farms, and the local food system, and can also be found speaking and teaching at local events about Lean Farming techniques for more successful.
