Speaker

Earyn McGee, Herpetologist and Science Communicator, Los Angeles Zoo

When

3 to 4 p.m., Dec. 4, 2024

Where

Earyn McGee is the Coordinator of Conservation Engagement at the Los Angeles Zoo, a herpetologist, and a science communication expert.  Numerous groups of people have been excluded from the field of conservation biology, and one large barrier to increasing the diversity of the field is the paucity of paid internships. Earyn McGee will talk about her research on barriers to participation in conservation biology and the paid internship programs that she participated in and founded to diversify the field.
