Strengthening Ratio Thinking & Language Using Pattern Blocks (MMMS)
In this interactive virtual workshop, teachers will explore how hands-on manipulatives can deepen students’ understanding of ratios and proportional relationships. Participants will engage in activities that highlight the connection between visual, concrete models and precise mathematical language, while considering strategies to support diverse learners. Teachers will leave with practical tools and classroom-ready approaches to strengthen ratio reasoning, promote discourse, and build confidence in their students’ mathematical thinking.
*No registration is required. If possible, please have a physical set of the featured manipulatives available during the session.
