The University of Arizona: Making Sense of Addition and Subtraction with KP Tiles (MMMS)
Discover the power of hands-on learning in mathematics!
This engaging Making Manipulatives Make Sense (MMMS) session explores how KP Ten-Frame Tiles can deepen students’ conceptual understanding of addition and subtraction. Participants will explore effective strategies for using manipulatives to build number sense, promote problem-solving skills, and support diverse learners. Through interactive demonstrations and practical activities, educators will leave with ready-to-use techniques to make math more visual, tangible, and meaningful for their students.
*No registration is required. Drop-ins are welcome!
**If possible, please have a physical set of the featured manipulatives available during the session.
