The University of Arizona: Making “Building Thinking Classrooms” Work for your classroom with Finlay and Patti

Have you tried implementing or are you ready to start trying the practices from Building Thinking Classrooms, but still have questions on how to make these strategies work for YOUR classroom? Come learn, discuss, share, and improve your craft with real classroom teachers who have made BTC work for themselves and others! Thinking tasks will be focused on Algebra and Geometry Standards, but the pedagogy is easily adaptable to the content area you teach.

Date:              Saturday, August 17, 2024 and September 14, 2024

Time:             1:00-5:00pm (4 hours with a break)

Location:          Hybrid: In-person at UArizona Tucson Campus. Remote via Zoom.

Earn:          Up to 9 hours of professional development credit for recertification.

This is a two-part series focused on High School Mathematics. $50 stipends will only be provided to the first 25 teachers from Arizona schools who participate in both sessions due to the generosity of the Herbst Family. Please only register if you can attend both sessions.
