The University of Arizona: IMPACTS Elementary – Digging Deep Into Decimals

FreeDecimals are introduced as fractions in fourth grade and as magnitudes of place value in fifth grade. How do we make strong connections between these ideas and domains? How do we help students develop a robust understanding of decimals? And how do we help students learn conceptual strategies for operations with decimals? Come and explore these ideas. This is a two-part workshop. Therefore, priority will be given to participants that register for BOTH sessions.
