The University of Arizona: Group Work Strategies through Complex Instruction Grades 6-8 (IMPACTS-MS)

Group work is essential for promoting collaboration, discussion, and argumentation in the mathematics classroom. Dr. Jen Wolfe will guide us through an exploration of Complex Instruction for implementing group-worthy tasks, establishing collaborative routines and roles, and addressing issues of status and equity.

Presenters: Dr. Jen Wolfe, Amee Legarra, Aiyana Smith, and Rodrigo Gutiérrez

Time: 8:30am-12:30pm

Location: Hybrid: In-person at UArizona Tucson Campus. Remote via Zoom.

Earn: Up to 5 hours of professional development credit for recertification.

**NOTE: Participants will be expected to take a task back to their classrooms, collect and analyze student work, and share their reflections with the CRR.
