Join us for a stroll along the Santa Cruz River to discover the seasonal rhythm of the desert.

Phenology is nature’s calendar – the timing of annual life-cycle events that are influenced by climate and weather, like blooming, migration, and nesting. Join us for a stroll along the Santa Cruz River as we gather data on seasonal changes in native plants to learn more about phenology, its importance, and how you can help contribute to our understanding of the natural world.

Note: Program is contingent on evaluation of damage caused by the May 24 brushfire.

Meet at: Wheeler Taft Abbett Library, 7800 N. Schisler Drive 85741 From westbound I-10 take exit 248 – Ina Road. Head west on Ina Rd. Turn right at the stoplight at Silverbell Rd. Turn right on Schisler Rd. The library is on the right. We will meet in front of the main entrance. Please carry water.
