A leisurely bird walk through the desert and riparian habitats at Cienega Creek Preserve.
October is a transitional month as summer breeders start to head to the wintering grounds and northern breeders start to arrive from the north. Cienega Creek Preserve is a great place to enjoy the spectacle of migration. Sections of the trail are steep and rocky. Please carry water and wear sturdy hiking shoes.
