Northern Arizona University: Creating a Resilient Watershed – The Mighty Colorado from Source to Sea

November 29, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Join us Nov. 29 for “Creating a Resilient Watershed: The Mighty Colorado from Source to Sea”, a program featuring conservation photographer Dave Showalter.  Showalter’s latest book, LIVING RIVER: The Promise of the Mighty Colorado, illustrates how we can create a resilient watershed by changing our relationship with water.

The century-old Colorado River Compact expires in 2026. As seven states renegotiate the river’s management guidelines, Showalter will take us on a journey through the endangered Colorado River.

This event is free and open to the public. It is presented by Cline Library and co-sponsors:

  • Free-flowing Rivers Lab
  • NAU Honors College
  • NAU Grand Canyon Semester
  • NAU Office of Sustainability
  • NAU School of Earth and Sustainability
  • NAU Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals
