Mesa Public Library: Ask a Master Gardener – A Guide to Vegetable Gardening

The weather right now may feel like winter is a long time away but this is the best time to begin planning and preparing for your winter garden. This class will go over what vegetables you can grow successfully in our low desert environment when the temperatures drop. We will discuss plant selection, planting strategies, and harvest schedules so you can look forward to a bountiful vegetable garden all winter long.

Following the workshop Maricopa County Master Gardeners will be available to answer your gardening questions.

University of Arizona Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners are certified volunteers who answer questions about gardening, landscaping, plant identification, and plant problems.
