Mesa Arts Center: Trash Books – Binding Using Recycled Materials

Learn how to make books out of materials such as old magazines, cereal boxes, old clothes and more! You can get more out of all manner of disposable and used items and packaging by transforming them into scrapbooks and journals. Along the way, we will learn how to stain paper using coffee grounds and tea leaves. Materials will be supplied, but students are encouraged to bring materials from home that they have an interest in repurposing.
