Expand on your existing jewelry making skills and hone your technique in Advanced Jewelry Fabrication. Elevate your designs by pushing your skills to create more complicated pieces. Learn to alloy your own precious metal, work in gold, and precision solder. We will focus on traditional goldsmithing techniques including forging, stone setting, file carving, recycling/alloying your own metal, chain making, and more. Students may work independently on their own projects with instructor guidance.
This is an advanced level class. Students must have experience with metal fabrication and using a gas (acetylene) torch for jewelry soldering.
