McDowell Sonoran Conservancy: Boo-jada Adventure Walk at Gateway Trailhead

When you think about Halloween, it’s normal to think of the most well known symbols of Halloween – Spiders, Spider Webs and Bats as spooky and scary. But, if you look at their existence in the Sonoran Desert, you may discover that sometimes the things you fear the most are creatures that can actually be some of the least fearsome in the desert!!! So, join us and let’s turn Halloween on its head a bit and discuss all kinds of things related to our Spooky Sonoran Desert.

Location: Gateway Trailhead – 18333 N. Thompson Peak Pkwy. Scottsdale, AZ 85255

Skill level: Easy

Time: ~2 hours

Pets are not permitted at our activities due to safety concerns. If you would like to request an accommodation for your service animal, please contact our office at least two weeks before the event you plan to attend.

The difficulty of hikes varies. Please choose hikes that match your fitness level. Restrooms are available at the trailheads. Bring Water and snacks for the trail. Arrive 15 minutes before the start of the hike.
