November 3, 2024 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am

Free

Join our birding guides on these easy 2-hour walks. We will look for whatever bird activity is happening at the time of year. Bring your binoculars. Arrive 15 minutes before start of the event. Birds you might see:

Year-round bird residents: cactus wren, canyon towhee, Gila woodpecker, ladder-backed woodpecker, Harris’s hawk, verdin, or Say’s phoebe.

During migration, we can see a large variety: phainopepla, American kestrel, gilded flicker, curve-billed thrasher, Abert’s towhee, or various warblers (Wilson’s, Lucy’s, Townsend’s, or yellow warbler).

Those that spend the winter in our area: phainopepla, black-throated sparrow, white-crowned sparrow, black-tailed gnatcatcher, or northern mockingbird.
