Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Sunset Hike

July 11, 2024 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free with Park Fee
Designed to start before sunset and end after dark, this hike with Ranger Jacque is the best of both worlds, encompassing the golden hour and into the night.

Enjoy both the Arizona sunset as it gives way to the moonlit darkness on this beautiful evening hike. This two-mile hike starts on Blevins trail, picks up on Cat Peaks trail, and comes back on Pass Mountain trail. Terrain features include firm gravel sections of trail, sandy wash sections, and slight, gradual changes in elevation. Please wear sturdy shoes, bring water, and $7 cash per vehicle for the self-pay station. Bring small handheld flashlights and a blacklight if you have one. Please refrain from using headlamps. Well-behaved, leashed pets OK.

MEETING LOCATION: Trailhead Staging Area, Blevins trailhead, east side of parking lot
